The Youth Services Division investigates all crimes committed against juveniles and crimes committed by juveniles. Incidents typically investigated by the juvenile division are Child Sex Crimes, Cruelty to Children, Unruly Juveniles, Exploitation as well as many other juvenile cases. The Youth Services Division also has five School Resource Officers which are assigned to schools within Spalding County. Those officers are dedicated to the safety and security of the schools, students and faculty to which they are assigned. School Resource Officers are closely involved with C.H.A.M.P.S. (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety) and constantly reach out to children and students to foster healthy relationships with Spalding County's youth.
