CHIEF DEPUTY
The Chief Deputy is responsible for making sure the Sheriff's
Office operates normally in the Sheriff's absence. The Chief Deputy
is the point of contact to relay all information to the Sheriff
and to ensure his orders are followed.
The Chief Deputy supervises all division Majors, coordinating with them on budget management, staffing, goal setting, and personal achievement. The Chief Deputy meets with the Division Majors on all employee matters including employee recognition, discipline, and employee recognition events. The Chief acts as Chairperson for planning meetings from operational events to community outreach events.
The Chief Deputy is also over the Office of Professional Standards, which consists of units such as Internal Affairs, Employment, and the Sex Offender Unit.
