SPALDING COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE MONTHLY PRAYER LUNCHEON
Each month the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office has a Prayer Luncheon held at the Kiwanis of Griffin Center.
Citizens INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS CLASS
A short course on basic firearms skills and laws regarding the use of force.
A basic self defense class for women.
A 10-week program about the Sheriff's Office and allows students hands on experience as the course progresses.
Tracks those who may wander via radio transmitter that is worn by the patient.
DEA NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION TAKEBACK
A program aimed at the proper disposal of prescription drugs so they do not end up in the wrong hands or the environment.
ACTIVE SHOOTER SEMINARS AND TRAINING
Designed for businesses, churches, and other organizations to help you stay safe and know how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation.
SPALDING COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND GRIFFIN POLICE DEPARTMENT EXPLORER PROGRAM
A program designed for youth in the community interested in a career in law enforcement.
SPALDING COUNTY JUNIOR DEPUTY PROGRAM ANNUAL WASHINGTON D. C. TRIP
A program for county 6th grade students that not only teaches important lessons, but has given them the opportunity to visit Washington D. C. since 1947!
SHERIFF'S C.H.A.M.P.S. SUMMER YOUTH CAMP
Every summer, the Sheriff's Office hosts three sessions of camps for 25 kids each, at no charge! Participants will receive meals, field trips, and C.H.A.M.P.S. lessons!
THE ANNUAL SHERIFF DARRELL DIX GOLF TOURNAMENT
A golf tournament benefiting the Jr. Deputy Program and the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes.
A 5K run open to all runners and walkers to benefit the Jr. Deputy Program.
The Sheriff's Office is represented every year at the Annual Kiwanis Fair by Junior Deputy Mentors to build relationships with Spalding County citizens.
ANNUAL SPALDING COUNTY HALLOWEEN SAFETY TRICK-OR-TREAT
A safe Trick-or-Treat event at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Every year, the Sheriff's Office gets to fly Santa in to greet the kids, pick up their wish lists, and celebrate the lighting of Airport Road Park.
Every Christmas, the Sheriff's Office selects eight families to receive free Christmas meals delivered by Deputies.
Every Christmas, 25 children are given $150.00 gift cards to shop while accompanied by a Deputy.
