CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION - GENERAL INVESTIGATIONS

    The General Investigative branch investigates crimes against persons and property for example: homicide, aggravated assault, rape, burglary, theft, vehicle theft, forgery and fraud as well as many other crimes committed against a person or property.

    Investigators are responsible for gathering information related to cases, conducting neighborhood canvasses, recovering/returning stolen property, victim/witness interviews, interrogating suspects and testifying in court. After the investigation is complete, Investigators compile all gathered information into a case file that is presented to the courts for prosecution.
