ABOUT CAPTAIN T. DUMAS-JACKSON
Captain T. Dumas-Jackson is a dedicated and highly experienced law enforcement professional with over twenty-eight years of service. She brings extensive professional training and a proven ability to maintain order, de-escalate complex situations, and lead with professionalism and integrity.Captain Dumas-Jackson began her career in public safety in 1998 as a 911 Dispatcher with the Forsyth Police Department, followed by service as a Corrections Officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections and as a Jailer at the Atlanta Correctional Pre-Trial Detention Center. In 2003, she joined the Spalding County Sheriff's Office, where she has served with distinction in multiple assignments and currently holds a leadership role within the Detention Division, having progressed through the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant.
Throughout her tenure with the Sheriff's Office, Captain Dumas-Jackson has served in numerous divisions, including Court Services, Uniform Patrol, School Resource Officer, Warrants and Civil Division, and Inmate Services and Classification. She also serves as a Forensic Psychophysiologist, administering polygraph examinations.
Captain Dumas-Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University and a Master of Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University. She is a POST-certified Peace Officer and possesses numerous advanced certifications, including Instructor, Supervisory, Managerial, Crisis Intervention, Field Training Officer, and School Resource Officer.
She remains steadfastly committed to professional excellence, leadership development, and community-focused policing, continuing to serve the citizens of Spalding County with honor and integrity.
